Where to Stay in Seongsu

POCO keeps you close to Seongsu Station without requiring an apartment-style check-in arrangement. The hotel’s directions place it a short walk from Exit 3, making it the first hotel we would compare for a stay centered on the Seongsu Station side.

Standard Double and Standard Twin rooms are 16.5 m², with either one double bed or two singles for two guests. Two people with large suitcases should look closely at the layout rather than assuming the standard room has generous unpacking space.

The Deluxe Family Twin is 23.1 m², with one double and one single bed and a maximum of three guests. That accommodates three people, but not three people who each want a separate bed.

Luggage storage needs planning. POCO has ended its complimentary storage service and uses paid lockers. Its published rates start at ₩4,000 for a small locker or ₩8,000 for a large one for the first five hours, with additional hourly charges. The hotel directs guests to outside storage facilities when its lockers are full.

Returning to your room with shopping bags during the stay is one thing. Leaving suitcases after checkout for a final afternoon in Seongsu is another—allow for the storage cost and availability.

For four travelers willing to share two beds, ONJAE has a configuration worth comparing. Expedia lists its Deluxe Twin with two queen beds for up to four guests. It is a shared room, not a four-bedroom apartment or four separate sleeping places.

There is no elevator. With a stroller, several heavy cases, or anyone who struggles with stairs, we would look elsewhere unless the property can confirm an arrangement that works for your party.

Arrival also differs from a staffed hotel lobby. Expedia’s policy describes a virtual front desk and asks guests to contact the property at least 24 hours before arrival for access instructions. Have those instructions saved before you leave for the accommodation.

ONJAE is a consideration for travelers who accept those arrangements in exchange for the bed configuration. It is not our default for a luggage-heavy family arrival.

Stay BUT adds an option for travelers who would use a kitchen rather than eat every meal outside. The property describes private rooms with individual cooking facilities and self-check-in; it does not operate dormitory accommodation.

That can suit a couple who wants breakfast in the room or a longer stay with some meals at home. It does not mean every unit provides a spacious family apartment.

The booking details need closer attention for groups. Current listings use the Family Suite name with different bed and occupancy descriptions. Before committing to a non-refundable group booking, obtain the exact room number, sleeping arrangement, and layout associated with the rate. We would not choose it on the advertised floor area alone.

For now, treat Stay BUT as a private, kitchen-equipped alternative to a hotel. Choose a larger unit only once the actual accommodation—not just the property’s general description—fits everyone.

Seoul Forest Stay offers dormitory beds and private rooms near Ttukseom and Seoul Forest. The property’s own directions use Ttukseom Exit 8 and Seoul Forest Exit 1.

This is the option to compare when you are comfortable with hostel-style accommodation. Booking information includes shared kitchen access and both private and shared bathroom arrangements. Selecting a private bedroom does not, by itself, settle which bathroom arrangement you will have.

The building has no elevator, and the published check-in window is 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests arriving later are asked to arrange access in advance. These are more consequential details than the rooftop photographs when you are arriving with luggage after a flight.

A solo traveler may prefer a dormitory; a couple may prefer a private room. Neither should assume the services or arrival arrangements will match a full-service hotel.
